The theme will be that of a Japanese theme . Side one (with Osborne logo on blade) will feature koi fish in a pond setting surrounded by drift wood, pebbles and multi-precious metal inlays of leaves and flowers floating on the waters surface. Side two will also have a Japanese theme but will fall along the idea of a Bonsai tree setting. Side two's final design is still in the works and will be posted here when completed. I will be posting different phases of the processes performed on this knife as it progresses.
Above is a picture of side one . This side is still in process. It consists of (15) Rose Gold inlays, (2) Yellow Gold inlays, (39) Green Gold inlays for a total of (56) inlays. The koi fish still need to be finished as well as the leaves and flowers.
The above photo is a Bonsai Specimen I have chosen as the main focal point of side two. The trunk of the tree will be treated with copper inlays and the foliage and moss will be treated with Green inlayed Gold. |
